Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Lots to learn from this book!   August 28, 2006

This is a small book (physically) but is is filled with a huge amount of useful information and great drawings. If you've ever wacked yourself in the head (or worse yet, wacked a friend) with a big weighted streamer - and admit it, we all have - or if all you've ever succeeded in doing with streamers is scaring fish with your horrible presentation and retrieve, than this book probably has something in it for you. I wish all my days went like Chapter 5 in the book, maybe more of them will now!

Anyway, chapter 3 on techniques and tactics is the best one. If you spent lots of time on the river, then you might skim over the first two chapters on trout behavior and streams. But even though I fish a lot, I really liked the great photos of the streamers in chapter 4. Gave me ideas of what to try next time.

Streamer fishing is REALLY fun and this book is a great guide for beginner to intermediate flyfishers!
